# re: Making Home Affordable.Gov- President Obama's help for America's Homeowner's

I  AM 79 YEARS OLD AND WOULD LIKE TO RECEIVE ASSISTANCE ON LOWERING MY INTEREST RATE. I JUST SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED A 5 YEAR CHAPTER 13 CASE. ICLUDED WAS MY CAR AND HOUSE I HAVE NO CREDIT CARDS THE REASON FOR MY FILING #13 WAS DUE TO TRYING TO LIVE ON A FIXED INCOME MONTHLY AND THE RISING COST OF MY MEDICATION AND DOCTOR BILLS AND CO-PAYMENTS FOR EACH DOCTOR VISIT SO ANYTHING YOU CAN DO TO HELP I WILL APPRECIATE IT.

THANK YOU.

Our current interest rate is 12.5 % and we are in need of a lower interest rate. We have no late payments for 1 year and no out standing debts

Ms Lomax any mortgage specialist that you use in your bank or anyone else you choose to use would help you lower your interest rate from 12% and refinance your loan if you qualify? I dont know if your chapter 13 if recent would prohibit you from doing that. But you need to talk to a mortgage specialist. Do you need a referral to one?
