Plymouth Rock Studio on track for Startup
Here's a local article from the AP about Plymouth Rock Studio status:
The State's Environmental Chief has cleared the way for a proposed movie studio in Plymouth to move to the design and permitting phase.
Massachusetts Environmental Affairs Secretary Ian Bowles yesterday granted Plymouth Rock Studios a final waiver to build an access road and related infrastructure before completing the environmental impact report.
Last Month, Bowles took a key step to speed up the project, allowing its backers to file a single environmental impact report, instead of a draft and final report.
Plymout Rock Studios is expected to include 14 sound stages, a 10-acre back lot, a theater, a 300 room hotel in a small village center and an education center on a 242 acre site.
Supporters say the project is expected to generate more than 2,000 jobs and develop into a unique tourist attraction.
